Knowledge isn't gained by Wealth

They say it is wealth that provides the resources. My wealth is found in the creativity that flourishes within me. To have given life to such creatures and deny them opportunity, I will not stand for it. I will not allow it. My child will succeed. My child will be somebody, far above mediocre.

At nineteen with a child beside me, set aside my dreams. No! See my dreams carried out through my seeds. No money like the grandeurs. But capable to have eyes illuminu[er]. To the prince I read at birth, at months, at one. We were street walkers, always street walkers. I was proud of mines, never shy to say - brother, cousin - no - he is mine. Parade the prince where ever man can reach. I was blinded to the world but these 10 blocks square was his world. Stumbled as he proceeded yet I allowed him to be free, stopping every inch of the way to question what earth had to display. Standing in front of the neighbor house, for he was amaze our mail box did not look like theirs. Questions were asked, so for the next few minutes our lesson was in play. Walk the neighborhood to see what type of mailbox lies within the way. And so he learned, things may be called the same by name but may also come in so many different forms. Attracted to the leaves, so we continue along discussing the color green, even as we enter our home and he sits on his thrown only to be given a piece of paper that was cleared on the back, for my syllabus would now be taken with me to class with the drafted creativity by my seed. Everything I earned while artistically creating with the loose strings found on our dome - went and was spunt always for my son. Rows of books, delivered my mail. More then three times a day, never went to bed without embedding 5 stories in his head. Flash cards, yet the boy still ran wild. Never took away the kid in him, but never allow the knowledge to fade in him. Monetary issues, I was not of the wealthy to purchase such luxury and so I ventured out to the library, at only just one, the library was what he called home. Certain stores sold books that still held intellectual quality for just one leaf. Over thirty books, each worth less than a two dollar bill. Keyboards, drums, guitar, yes I support the arts. Toys, vehicles, teddy bears, blocks. Bike, scooter, skates, a board, hold up ,no, no, refused to get the pogo. Instruments destroyed and replaced, now with harmonica, recorder, more books, puzzle, worksheets, both ranging at various age levels just to satisfy my seed(s). Two or more of everything when it comes to certain things, especially outside stuffs, always outside stuffs. My princess is like a little dream, craving intellect more than we can believe. I never intiated the art of reading, but she always sat on my lap as I read to the prince, and so I guess for her, her imagination too was being explored. Read to me read to me, she will scream, she will fuss, reading to her is a must. She won’t ask, she will find, she has to write, she has to learn. Flash cards she will take, don’t allow it, for you it will be a huge mistake. Questions, always asking question. Television, not a habit, only used sprangily, just to relax in it. She knows her status, she is high, she is bright, she’s a beauty, she’s a princess. She is the formation of the creation of a building progression of intellect. And so I wake to see so much greatness that has been made. They are abundant, my pockets are minimal, no where near those of the elite, yet I still manage and my seeds were provided with such educational equality.

Let me introduce you to an idea of my children’s area room of some of the stuffs in which it includes:books, puzzles, tv, movie box, toy box, blocks, Legos, educational unit (art crafts, worksheets, studying materials, etc), vehicle toys, house play toys (tea set, dolls, etc), blackboard, whiteboard, table, pullout sofa, stuff toys, instruments, video games, computer games, laptop ... the list goes on...... Then there's they're outside door which is remotely located in an area right outside the children's area. That's right their area has a door that leads to the yard which can always be left open for the flexibilty of inside and outside play .... But back to the lesson at hand!

They say it is wealth that provides the resources. My wealth is found in the creativity that flourishes within me and so I was able to economically prepare this dream although it remains incomplete for the walls of our previous site itself could not be seen - yet to fulfill the wall to wall cover up, placing knowledge on the walls. They can play, they can lay, enjoy, and learn, their own little zone. I shop wise cause I need to maintain my prize. No parents should say they can’t create such a place. Let me share with you the secrets of economically creating this section when financially you know it just isn’t happening.
Stores such as Kmart, Walmart, Target, Family Dollar, Walgreens, even thirft stores can help with the financial bargain .....Thrift stores for some reason always make people jump. Keep in mind that some companies donate to thirft stores and the products being donated are new and overstocked items that needs to be getten ridden of. I purchase a lot of VCR tapes of classic movies and books from the thirft store for my kids. It started of with 1 for a dollar, then 4 for a dollar. I tend to get the updated movies on DVD (at any store) but to tell you the truth they are usually bootlegg but with high quality.  At Family Dollar I get just about all of the puzzles, from 8 pieces to 15 pieces, which usually goes for about a dollar. Then there's the 500 to 1000 pieces which has about 3 to 5 puzzles in there which will nicely start at $5. They also have books, coloring books, crossword puzzles, art supplies, writing supplies, all for about 1 to 2 dollars each. Lately at Target I've been purchasing novels for my son. Actual chapter book of stories like Tom Sawyer for only 1 dollar. Of course at times I will purchase books for $5, $10, and so forth, however I will take advantage of my resouces. Although, theses materials are cheap the vocabulary and so forth are highly rich. Also remember, public libraries as well as colleges/universities hold book sales. These books may at times be purchased for a dollar or less. Toys will easily be purchased from any location, I spend money on toys depending on the occasion. Most daily purchased toys range from 1 to 10 dollars and it usually includes the hand size toys that get attracted to because it's easy to travel with, the bite size toys. Ugh, they have and looses a lot of bit size toys. From there the prices rise to birthday gifts, good behavior gifts, christmas gifts, and so forth. But to tell you the truth, I wont waste my money on 'dumb toys.' Instruments, you can find a keyboard, guitar, and so forth for $20 and less (although in their play room, I actually placed my Yamaha keyboard there, but have purchased the smaller version for them before). Worksheets/books can be purchased from either stores or you can easily print them from online. Sales, I always try to catch the sales no matter what it is. By the way, the book shelf are made of milk/juice crates, see I live in the hood and if you're down with the store people they'll give you a couple. Crates are sold in the store for about $20 a piece. Get a free crate, buy a can of spray paint and do as many as you like for a good $10.

Am I cheap, no, I'm just not rich and want to expose my children to as much as they possibly can and so I cut financial corners, corners that won't hinder the quality or opportunity that is given.

They say it is wealth that brings knowledge. They say it is wealth that provides the resources. My wealth is found in the creativity that flourishes within me. To have given life to such creatures and deny them opportunity, I will not stand for it. I will not allow it. My child will succeed. My child will be somebody, far above mediocre. My children will exceed and so I sacrifice in order for them to be provided with a form of educational equality. They are the elite.
